WILL CORONAVIRUS CHANGE THE LIFESTYLE OF MUSICIANS FOR GOOD?

WILL CORONAVIRUS CHANGE THE LIFESTYLE OF MUSICIANS FOR GOOD?

The answer is "yes" Coronavirus will change musicians'life style forever, but not in the way you are thinking of.
Probably you are thinking of a gray future where interpreters will give up playing live in venues or theaters and try out definitely the option of play-alone-at home in the Internet. Ok, this is what a cautious accounter would do after a pandemia crisis. But not musicians. I believe musicians will be back again on the scenes.
You wonder why? Musicians who are reading out this article probalby already know the answer.
Human beings are simply not made to stay in a shut-in model of living in the log term run. And I know this by no antropological or marketing research since musicians as actors or artists in general study human emotions and feelings.
Observe human feelings like pain, sadness, joy or disappointment from an artistic point of view is more effective than a marketing research.
Going back to musicians life style decisions and behaviour, I can say that we'll play again live in venues because we know that after the black period of forced abstinence, public will be longing for human contact. Likewise restaurants are not only feeding you but giving you the fancy experience of being taken cared and metaforically cuddled, concerts will give a warm welcome for public in search of a unique living experience which is definitely not the same as listening to a google play track at home alone and abandoned at your own thoughts.
But...there is a "but" always...musicians are not stupid and alongide playing live they will exploit 'till the end the Internet streaming...and guess what...try to listen to music gratis now in quaratine, because it seems that in quaratine like during Christmas everybody is good, because after the coronavirus timem, streaming will be long away from being free, maybe cheaper but not free. In any case...will you be able to enjoy the same charming music piece live, listening to the breath of interpreters, notincing the thrill in their eyes, understandig theirs joys and fears rather than at home sank  in your couch maybe in pijamas? Not even close, but cheaper. Yes, cheaper is cheaper.
