Quote of the day

"Vorrei che tutti leggessero, non per diventare letterati o poeti, ma perchè nessuno sia più schiavo" - Gianni Rodari- Italian Poet

This year was really tough here in Barcelona

This year was really tough here in Barcelona, especially starting from October the first, namely when Catalonian people was brutally agressed for voting in their territory.
I really don’t want to criticise anything of being Spanish or being Catalonian because I have very dear friends on both origins, but I firmly condemn the violence we witnessed this day. I really don’t want to criticize the former Spanish Government either, except for allowing this violent decision. Political matters don’t belong to me, but I leave in this real world and I am not stupid either, let’s put it in that matter.
The following concert I talk about took place in the Fine Arts Royal Academy of Barcelona at the end of November. It was a very beautiful moment for us Duo Resonare Fibris (see us in FB). We enjoyed every bit of it, every breath, every work of our Repertoire, but this didn’t erase a certain uncomfortable moment for standing in front of a public in the very middle of difficult political circumstances. We remember that in the end of the concert, the public asked for a small repetition and we didn’t know in which language to introduce it… Spanish or Catalonian… ?!?...
As always in those very stressful and quick moments, the instinct decides in your behalf; so my instinct told me to speak in English, which was totally correct as a choice, giving that among the listeners there were many foreign tourists too. After my English introduction the public asked me to translate in Catalan, so I did it to respect them.
Talking about the musical part of the concert we were satisfied about we played. Maybe we could have better adjusted the dynamics and the volumes on the Vivaldi Sonata… but for the rest we did it ok! 😊))
After the concert we had to renounce our girls party night because we were too tired!!!
And now…. I go back to rehearse!!!!
